Description
Hunting Stands are deployable platforms that give the hunter different advantages such as better visual camo and/or field of view.
How Stance matters when in stands
- Solid objects provide 100% camo for the body parts hidden behind them. Walls such as those of Ground Blinds or towers are solid objects.
- Platforms with walls (towers, blinds) override the stances of only those body parts which are hidden. For example, being prone or crouch makes no difference if already protected by a wall.
- All parts visible above a wall are not platform-protected/overridden.
- Platforms with no walls (Tree Stands, Tripod Stands override the player stance in any case and provide their own protection.
- Being in a stand is treated as being in a special stance, camo wise.
- Your stance can be prone, crouched, standing, treestand, groundblind etc. In other words your stance does not matter in a tree or tripod stand.

Noise / spooking animals
Deploying or dismantling stands will spook animals within 100m / 328ft.
Entering and exiting stands does not cause noises.
Stand Types
Each stand has different pros and cons that make them suitable for different areas, situations and species. A Ground Blind with excellent visual camo is for instance very effective vs. visually oriented creatures such as birds while a Tree stand with excellent scent reduction is better vs. scent oriented species such as bears, hogs & coyotes.
