Introduction
On May 15, 2024, EW has introduced gameplay challenges with this post in the forum with the notion: Most of these will be for the longer term players, but we hope they'll give each of you a little something extra in your hunting or a new goal to pursue. You'll find them under the Achievements tab in their own section called Challenges.
Also:
- Challenges should not be taken too serious as they will not aim to follow proper hunting code of conduct, but are rather a playful element.
- EW plans to add more challenges are gradually added over time.
How to access challenges:
Facts
- Each Challenge can only be completed once. There is no reset option.
- The only reward for earning challenges is the badge that turns golden after completion.
- Challenges do not affect the Hunter Score or any other metric in the game, except what you earn in skills by completing them.
- Challenges can be completed in multiplayer.
Challenges and Tips

Kill three animals within 5 minutes. | Use a silent weapon such as a bow or crossbow and also use a hunting stand. Lure in a herd or flock, such as Turkeys. |
| Truffle Pig | 
|
Find five mushrooms in one hunt. | Set the "Scene Complexity" setting in the launcher to low. Then run or drive over open fields or along roads and beaches. Alternatively, do long sessions and you will collect them naturally. |
| Raining Ducks | 
|
Kill three ducks with the same shot. | This is easiest when a large group of ducks has broken from the flock and is gliding in. Shoot them from 40m away to ensure the shotgun pellets have spread enough. Use your best shotgun. |
| Far and Away | 
|
Harvest a European Rabbit shot from over 250m. | South east of the lodge Chalet du Mont-Bleu, check if a borrow is down by the water. Run up the mountain and use a good rifle such as the Plinkington and a good scope. This can be done also with a Render Range of 220m. |
| Fast Food | 
|
Harvest 10 Roosevelt Elk within 5 minutes. | Use a silent weapon such as a bow or crossbow and also use a hunting stand. Do not collect any of the elk. You might have to work from two places. Place a tent at the first place so you can fast travel to it. Once 10 elk are down, start collecting them. |

Kill three land animals with the same shot. | This can be only be done with a shotgun. Consider 3 Turkeys with birdshot, or 3 Coyotes with buckshot. The coyotes must be at least 30m away, or the pellet spread will not be high enough. |
| Pincushion | 
|
Hit the same animal five or more times with arrows. | Shoot a large animal such as a Bison with arrows that do not hit a vital organ. Players report that crossbow arrows did not count. |
| When Good Aim Goes Bad | 
|
Read 20 blood tracks from the same animal. | Shoot a large animal such as a Bison with an arrow that does not hit a vital organ. Then just follow it after a while. Do not chase it, it will leave more tracks when just roaming. |
| Lucky Luke | 
|
Kill an albino. | Completing this is purely based on luck finding this rare type. |
| Grandpa's Way | 
|
Kill a Brown Bear from over 150m with a classic rifle and no sight. | Use bear baiting or search the wide open river in Val-des-Bois. You can use any of these classic rifles. |
| Silent Sniper | 
|
Harvest a Turkey that was shot from over 88m with a crossbow pistol with a heart shot. | Consider these areas and use a Tree Stand to have decent elevation. Aim high with the Crossbow Pistol. |
